Through the introduction and development of EMS several invented matters, trial steps, actual results and coming theme to be taken are reported. KEYWORD: ISO 14001 ●Mikio Akamatsu Development of a Multi-Dimensional Multi-Phase Flow Simulation Code FAPIG No. 149 pp. 40~45 (1998) The C-CUP method has recently attracted a great deal of attention as the numerical scheme with a universal approach for handling fluid (gas and liquid) and solid from the viewpoint of continuum mechanics. A study has been conducted to confirm the feasibility of the method as the main numerical engine of a multi-dimensional multi-phase flow simulation code. Calculational results for basic problems on gas-liquid system demonstrate strong potential of the method. ●Takashi Ishii, Hitoshi Nakashima, Toshiyuki Hokari, Masakuni Horita, Hiroshi Sugawara, Takahisa Mase In-situ Measurement of Low Permeability of Formation by Use of MP system FAPIG No. 149 pp. 46~53 (1998) Formations which permeability is very low are suitable for the host rock in which repositories of radioactive waste are to be constructed. A practical in-situ test method for measuring very low permeability is desirable to be adapted for confirming the performance of repositories. In-situ permeability tests by use of MP system were executed at a natural bentonite mine as a trial. The build up speed of water table in the MP casing was observed for the term of 80-130days. According to the measured data the hydraulic coefficient of the bentonite formation is order of 10-10cm/s. KEYWORDS : in-situ measurement, permeability test, bentonite |
